Installation Notes
Before threading on the new filter, apply a thin coat of clean oil to the gasket, then hand-tighten three-quarters turn after the gasket contacts the mounting surface. Over-tightening just makes the next change harder and can damage the seal. The larger size means this filter holds more oil, so have extra on hand during changes.
