Description
When your hydraulic system starts acting sluggish or you're hearing that telltale whine from the pump, there's a good chance your hydraulic filter is telling you it's time for some attention. A clogged filter doesn't just hurt performance—it lets contaminated oil circulate through expensive pumps, valves, and cylinders, turning what should be routine maintenance into costly repairs. This Baldwin filter is engineered to handle the pressure spikes, temperature swings, and contaminant loads that come with real-world hydraulic work.
What You're Getting
- 8 PSID bypass valve that keeps oil flowing even if the filter gets plugged with debris
- Flow control orifice built right in for proper system operation
- Filtration media that captures particles and debris before they can damage sensitive hydraulic components
- Compact 5 3/8 inch length with 3 11/16 inch diameter fits standard mounting locations
- 5/8-18 thread size for secure, leak-free installation
Built for Real Farm Work
This filter handles hydraulic systems across a wide range of farm equipment including International tractors, John Deere machines, M&W Gear Co. implements, and Same equipment. Whether you're running a loader tractor for daily chores, operating implements during planting season, or running harvesting equipment through long days, clean hydraulic fluid keeps these systems running smooth and responsive when you need them most.
Made to Last
Baldwin filters are engineered to handle the pressure spikes, temperature swings, and contaminant loads that come with real-world hydraulic work. The sturdy housing withstands the vibration and stress of daily operation. You'll get reliable filtration that protects your investment in expensive hydraulic components.
Installation Notes
This is a direct spin-on replacement. Make sure to apply a thin film of clean hydraulic oil to the gasket before installation, and hand-tighten plus 3/4 turn for proper sealing. The installation notes remind you to tilt the filter to let air out while you fill with oil before installing—this prevents cavitation and ensures proper system operation right from the start. Check your hydraulic fluid level after changing the filter and top off if needed.
