    Description

When your disc blades start looking more like smooth wheels than cutting tools, it's time for replacements that'll actually slice through residue instead of just pushing it around. This 16-inch notched disc blade from Osmundson brings aggressive cutting action back to your disc harrow, turning tough corn stalks and matted residue into properly sized pieces that'll break down instead of hair-pinning around your planter next spring.

    Key Features

    • Boron 15B26 steel construction with 46-52 Rockwell hardness that holds an edge through acres of tough tillage
    • 11-gauge thickness (3.0 MM) provides the right balance of durability and weight for consistent cutting performance
    • Standard 1.50-inch concavity creates proper soil-throwing action to mix and bury residue
    • Combo hole design with 1 square x 1-1/8 square axle fits a wide range of disc harrow models
    • Aggressive notched edge creates a scissor action that slices through tough stalks other blades just bend over

    Built for Real Farm Work

This disc blade fits disc harrows using the common 1 square x 1-1/8 square axle configuration. Whether you're working corn ground after harvest, incorporating cover crops, or preparing seedbeds for spring planting, your disc harrow needs to do more than just roll over crop residue - it needs to cut, size, and mix that material into the soil profile. The notched edge design excels in high-residue conditions where standard smooth blades might just push material around.

    Made to Last

Osmundson doesn't mess around with blade materials. This Boron 15B26 steel maintains the perfect hardness range - hard enough at 46-52 Rockwell to hold an edge through acres of tough tillage, but not so brittle it shatters when you clip that hidden field stone. The 11-gauge thickness gives you solid cutting performance without being overly heavy on your disc gang bearings.

    Installation Notes

When replacing blades, never mix worn and new on the same gang - the diameter difference creates uneven cutting that leaves mohawk strips. Check your spool spacing while gangs are apart; notched blades can require slightly different spacing than smooth blades for optimal performance. A quick tip: notched blades excel in heavy residue but can be too aggressive in light soils or minimal trash conditions. Many operators run notched blades on front gangs for cutting, smooth on rear for finishing.
